I. About GRUNDIG Shunt Battery Monitor

A voltmeter only guesses. The GRUNDIG Shunt Battery Monitor measures the actual energy flowing in and out of your battery bank through a precision all-copper shunt, so your state of charge stays true — even after a lithium upgrade or a long boondocking weekend.

Check voltage, current, power, capacity (Ah & %) and estimated time remaining on the 2.4" color screen, or on your phone from anywhere via Bluetooth, WiFi or cloud remote. Compatible with any 12V–100V battery — LiFePO4, NMC lithium, lead-acid (AGM/Gel/Flooded) — for RV house batteries, off-grid solar, marine and golf cart systems. No more wondering if you'll make it through the night, and no more dash gauges that lie after a battery swap.

Bluetooth for nearby checks (works offline), WiFi for your local network, and cloud remote for worldwide monitoring. Inside the RV or a thousand miles away — your battery data is always with you.

Precision Measurement, Both Directions

Shunt-based coulomb counting. Voltage (±0.5% + 0.02V), current, power, capacity (0.001Ah resolution), and estimated time remaining — refreshed 5 times per second. Automatically shows charging (A+) or discharging (A−); when both happen at once, it displays the net current.

Smart Adjustable Alarms

Set your own low-voltage and low-capacity thresholds in the app or on the display. When triggered, the built-in buzzer sounds and a pop-up appears — so you never over-discharge your bank.

Power-Off Memory

All settings and accumulated data are preserved through power loss. When power returns, the meter resumes with your previous configuration — set it once and forget it.

All-Copper Shunt, Ultra-Low Drain

High-purity copper shunt with protective housing delivers low resistance, minimal heat and accurate readings. The display draws just 0.9W — it won't meaningfully drain your battery.

V. Installation Notes

  • Installation should be performed by a qualified person familiar with battery electrical systems.
  • The shunt installs on the battery's negative line; all loads and chargers must connect through it.
  • Always disconnect power before installation or maintenance.

VI. FAQ

Q1: What's the difference between a shunt battery monitor and a voltmeter?

A voltmeter estimates charge from voltage, which is unreliable — especially with LiFePO4's flat voltage curve. A shunt-based monitor measures actual current in and out (coulomb counting), so your state of charge stays accurate.

Q2: How does WiFi remote monitoring work?

The monitor connects to your 2.4GHz WiFi and the Junce Home cloud. Once linked, you can check your battery from anywhere in the world through the app. Bluetooth works offline for nearby checks, and the on-device screen always shows live data with no connection at all.

Q3: Which model should I choose?

Pick a rating above your system's peak continuous current: 0–50A for power stations and golf carts, 0–100A for mid-size RV and boat banks, 0–400A for large RV and solar systems, 0–600A for heavy-duty off-grid and EV builds.

Q4: Will it work with my battery?

Yes — any battery chemistry between 10–100V DC, including LiFePO4, NMC lithium and lead-acid (AGM, Gel, Flooded). Set your battery type and capacity in the app.

Q5: How accurate is it?

Voltage accuracy is ±(0.5% + 0.02V) with 0.001Ah capacity resolution, sampled 5 times per second through a precision all-copper shunt.

Q6: Does it drain my battery?

Very little. The display draws only 0.9W, and the screen auto-off timer plus wake-on-current feature keep standby consumption negligible.

Q7: What happens when charging and discharging at the same time?

The meter displays the net current — the difference between charge current and discharge current — and shows A+ or A− accordingly.

Q8: What happens if the monitor loses power?

Nothing is lost. A built-in storage chip saves all settings and accumulated data, and the meter resumes automatically when power returns.

Q9: Is it hard to install?

The shunt goes on the battery's negative line, and the display connects with the included 16.4 ft cable. We recommend a qualified installer; always disconnect power first and follow the Quick Start Guide.
