GRUNDIG: 80 Years of Automotive Engineering & Precision

Since 1945, Grundig has stood for German precision engineering. From the 1951 Autosuper 248 to today, we've evolved from car audio to advanced automotive safety solutions. This heritage drives our TPMS systems: professional-grade components and real-time sensing technology that deliver reliable monitoring for every vehicle.

ABOUT TPMS

Beyond Safety: Prevent Accidents & Maximize Fuel Economy. This system goes beyond real-time monitoring to drastically reduce the risk of blowouts and accidents. By instantly alerting you to low tire pressure, it prompts timely re-inflation—maintaining optimal tire footprint, reducing rolling resistance, and saving you significant money on gas during every long haul.

Proactive Safety Monitoring & Fuel Optimization. The primary function of this TPMS is to deliver precise, real-time tire data to prevent potential blowouts before they happen. When low pressure is detected, the proactive alert guides drivers to re-inflate tires promptly. This crucial step not only extends tire life but ensures optimal rolling resistance, effectively lowering overall fuel consumption for heavy-duty setups.

It is designed to be ready to hit the road straight out of the box, saving professional drivers time and effort. Just mount the sensors and drive with confidence.

【Advanced Solar & Type-C Dual Charging】 Equipped with high-efficiency solar panels and a built-in 500mAh large-capacity battery, the S-04 ensures uninterrupted tire monitoring even on cloudy days or long night drives. It supports Type-C/USB fast charging, providing a reliable power source for all-weather road safety.

【15 Bar/217 PSI Range for Heavy-Duty Vehicles】 Engineered for large vehicles, this system offers an expansive pressure monitoring range from 29 to 217 PSI (2 to 15 Bar). It is the ideal safety solution for heavy-duty commercial trucks, dual-axle RVs, 5th wheels, motorhomes, and buses.

【6-Wheel Real-Time Monitoring with Clock】 The upgraded all-weather, full-viewing angle LCD display shows tire pressure and temperature for 6 wheels simultaneously without glare. Plus, the integrated high-precision digital clock turns your monitor into a comprehensive cockpit command center.

【Smart Vibration-Sensing Auto Start-Stop】 Enjoy hands-free operation with our intelligent sensing technology. The monitor automatically powers on when it detects vehicle vibration and enters power-saving standby mode when stationary for over 10 minutes, significantly extending battery life and device longevity.

【Industrial-Grade IP67 Waterproof Sensors】 The kit includes 6 rugged external sensors designed to thrive in harsh environments. Featuring IP67 waterproof, dust-proof, and anti-corrosion ratings, these sensors can withstand extreme temperatures from -40°C to 125°C, ensuring a stable 433.92MHz signal with zero data loss.

【Anti-Theft Security Design】 Equipped with custom anti-theft hex nuts and a dedicated wrench, the sensors lock securely onto your tire valve stems. This specialized mechanical design effectively prevents casual opportunistic theft and ensures the sensors remain firmly attached even during high-speed highway driving or intense off-road vibrations.

【Recommended Signal Booster for Extended Lengths】For motorhomes, 5th wheels, or towing setups exceeding 30 feet in total length, a Signal Booster is highly recommended. RV chassis and dense metal structures can naturally attenuate radio frequency (RF) signals. The Signal Booster is designed to amplify the signal from the rear tires, ensuring stable, uninterrupted 433.92MHz data transmission to your display monitor, preventing intermittent readings.

【Up to 1-Year Sensor Battery Life】Engineered for heavy-duty applications, our external sensors reliably monitor extreme tire pressures up to 217 PSI (15.0 Bar) while maintaining optimal energy efficiency. Powered by easily replaceable batteries, each sensor delivers up to 12 months of continuous operational life under standard driving conditions. The system display will proactively alert you when a sensor battery runs low.

FAQs

It depends on your vehicle's cold tire pressure:

8 Bar (116 PSI) Version: Best for standard pickups, Class B campervans, or light trailers where tire pressure stays below 100 PSI.

15 Bar (217 PSI) Version: Essential for Class A/C Motorhomes, Heavy-Duty 5th Wheels, and Commercial Trucks. If your cold pressure is 110 PSI or higher, you MUST choose this version to accommodate natural pressure spikes during travel.

The standard transmission range is approximately 25-30 feet (8-10 mete
Recommendation: If your total rig length (Truck + Trailer) exceeds 30 feet, or if your vehicle has a heavy metal chassis that may block signals, we strongly recommend adding a Signal Booster to ensure 100% data synchronization.rs).

The high-efficiency solar panel keeps the display charged during daylight driving. The built-in 500mAh battery provides backup power for night driving and cloudy days. For extended periods without sun, simply use the Type-C USB port to charge — one full charge lasts weeks under normal use.

Yes. The S04 is designed for heavy-duty vehicles. The 15 BAR (217 PSI) version covers ALL RV types including motorhomes, 5th wheels, travel trailers, and toy haulers. It comes pre-configured with high-pressure alarm set at 116 PSI, so it's ready to use out of the box for most RVs.

The S04 monitors 6 wheels simultaneously — perfect for most 6-wheel RV configurations (tow vehicle 4 + trailer 2, or Class A motorhome 6). For larger setups, we recommend checking our 8-sensor RV TPMS option.

Each sensor uses a high-capacity CR1632 battery that lasts approximately 12 months under standard driving conditions. They are easily replaceable by the user—no need to buy a whole new sensor when the battery runs low.

Not at all. Simply screw the external sensors onto your tire valve stems (hand-tight, no tools needed), mount the display on your dashboard, and the system auto-pairs within seconds. Average installation time: under 10 minutes for 6 sensors.

This is completely normal. The pre-displayed readings are residual test data from our quality control checks at the factory. Once you install the sensors on your tire valves, the real-time data will automatically overwrite these values.

That is a great question, but there is a major technical difference between factory systems and a dedicated heavy-duty setup:

  • Indirect vs. Direct Monitoring: Most standard factory vehicles use Indirect TPMS, which doesn't actually measure air pressure. Instead, it uses your car's ABS wheel-speed sensors to estimate if a tire is flat. It will not show you real-time PSI numbers or critical temperature changes on your dashboard.
  • The RV & Trailer Blind Spot: Factory TPMS is strictly designed for the 4 tires of your solo vehicle. When you hook up an RV, travel trailer, or fifth wheel, your factory dashboard cannot monitor those towed tires.

Our direct TPMS system gives you real-time, sensor-to-screen precision for both your towing vehicle and your trailer simultaneously, catching dangerous pressure fluctuations before they escalate.

You are absolutely correct that tire age, wear, and structural damage are the leading causes of highway blowouts. Regular tire replacement (every 6–7 years) and visual checks are absolutely essential.

However, a TPMS is not a replacement for maintenance—it is your second pair of eyes on the highway. Even brand-new tires can run over a stray nail, suffer a slow leak, or experience severe internal friction.

While driving, your eyes and common sense cannot detect:

  • A slow, silent leak that drops your PSI over 50 miles, overheating the tire wall.
  • A sudden temperature spike caused by a sticking brake caliper or bearing failure.
  • Rapid decompression before the vehicle begins to fish-tail.

Our TPMS catches these invisible, real-time metrics instantly, giving you the critical minutes you need to pull over safely before a compromised tire catastrophically blows out.

This is completely normal and usually depends on the installation sequence. To ensure instant pairing, always power on your monitor before screwing the sensors onto your tire valves.

If you installed the sensors while the monitor was still turned off, the system will enter its standard background syncing cycle. It may take 10 to 15 minutes of waiting (or a short drive) for the monitor to capture the signal and display the correct, updated tire pressure and temperature.

If you want an instant sync, simply unscrew the sensors, turn on your monitor first, and then screw the sensors back on.
