Installed fairly easily, but their instructions and videos leave a few things out or don't make them clear. You MUST push the metal tab in on the brass plate to lock it in place. Then, the manual doesn't actually show you howto install the motor after doing this. Simply line it up with the original car latch holes, on top of the original car latch. Then hook the black ring on their cable over the post that the top of the spring is on, THEN put the spring back in.
Finally, after installing, I had to either drop my hood a couple of feet, or press down on it to get the closer to actuate. Also, the 90 second auto reclose didn't work. After some back and forth and trial and error, I found the original latch was too high, even though the hood was flush with the car. Moving the car's latch down a few millimeters, and moving their latch up allowed the weight of the hood alone to press their actuator lever itself, and everything works perfectly now. This should be an OEM standard!
