Tesla upgrades that fit your car.
Fourteen parts. Pick your car and model year below and the page shows only the ones that fit.
Which Tesla do you drive?
Flagship upgrades
Eight parts that change how the car behaves, grouped by what they actually do. Cheapest first inside each group, and every one carries its own fitment line — the ranges on this page do not all overlap.
Power Open & Close
Parts that take over a step you do by hand — the frunk lid, the doors, the handles. This is the highest-value group on the page, and the one where the difference between two products matters most.
Most popular
Frunk Lock — Soft-Close
The motor pulls the lid in and finishes the last few millimetres for you.
- Soft-close only — you still lift the lid by hand
- 7 model-year variants, Model 3 / Y / S / X
- Keeps the factory latch and emergency release
- Draws power from the car’s 12 V system — we list it as a professional install
Fits Model 3 ’17–’25+ · Model Y ’20–’25+ · Model S / X ’21+
This is not a hands-free frunk. You open the hood the way you do now; the lock takes over for the last stretch of closing. Model S and Model X list at $155, not $135.
Top upgrade
Electric Power Frunk
Replace the hood struts with powered ones and the whole lid opens and closes itself.
- One press opens, another closes and latches
- Anti-pinch: stops the motor when it meets resistance
- Runs off the factory harness — touchscreen, Tesla app or key fob
Fits Model 3 ’16–’24+ · Model Y ’20–’25+ · Model S / X ’16+
It swaps the factory hood struts for powered struts and draws from the factory harness, so we list it as a professional install.
Soft-Close Door Kit — All 4 Doors
A gentle push, and the door finishes closing itself instead of bouncing back.
- One kit covers all four doors
- Built on the factory latch mechanism
- Quiet motor with noise-damping components
Fits Model 3 & Model Y — all four doors
Still needs a push — the motor takes over from a partially open position rather than pulling the door shut from nothing.
Automatic Door Handles — Auto Present
Four handles that extend as you walk up and sit flush again once you lock the car.
- Present on approach, retract on lock or in motion
- Seven ways to unlock, from key card to shift-into-Park
- Sealed motors and control box — built for wash and rain
- LED strip in each handle, nine colours
Fits Model 3 ’21+ · Model Y ’20+
Compatibility page lists 2021+ Model 3 and 2020+ Model Y. Verify your model year at checkout.
The one comparison that decides it: soft-close vs power
Frunk Lock — $135 ($155 for Model S / X)
- You lift the hood by hand, as you do now.
- The motor draws it in for the last few millimetres and latches it.
- You never press the hood down again.
- Keeps the factory latch and emergency release.
Electric Power Frunk — $499
- The hood opens on its own — one press up, one press down.
- Factory hood struts are replaced with powered nitrogen struts.
- Anti-pinch stops the motor if the lid meets resistance.
- Touchscreen, Tesla app or key fob. No extra remote.
Both are non-destructive and both keep the original emergency release working. The difference is not quality — it is how much of the job you want the car to do.
Control & Visibility
Three ways to put information and switches back where your hands already are. Read the notice below first if you drive a refreshed car — this is the narrowest fitment on the page.
Best value
Mini HUD — 1.8 cm Embedded
Speed and alerts at eye level, moulded into the air-vent gap at 1.8 cm.
- Fits the air-vent gap — no bracket, no blocked vent
- Plugs into the factory 26-pin rear OBD port
- No cutting, no splicing, nothing permanent
Fits Model 3 ’19–’23 · Model Y ’21–’24
Model 3 2019–2023 and Model Y 2021–2024 only. This is the only display product on this page, so Highland (2024+) and Juniper (2025+) owners have no display option here — check before ordering.
Screen Swivel Mount
Aim the centre screen away from glare instead of leaning over to read it.
- 30° swivel each way, 15° tilt up and down, with built-in stops
- Matte aluminium body, machined to 3D-scanned factory geometry
- Replaces only the screen bracket — reversible install
Fits Model 3 ’16–’23 & Highland · Model Y ’21–’25+
The product page describes about 30 minutes at the existing factory mounting points, no drilling and no cutting.
Highland / Juniper only
Gear Shift Stalk
Push up for Reverse, down for Drive, press the end cap for Park.
- Plug-and-play harness, no cutting or soldering
- OEM-style matte-black housing
- Screen shifting still works alongside it
Fits Model Y Juniper ’25+ · Model 3 Highland ’25+ (not 2024)
The narrowest fitment on this page. 2025+ Model Y Juniper and 2025+ Model 3 Highland only — the page says explicitly not for the 2024 Model 3. The two variants are priced differently: Juniper is $188, Highland is $199.
Highland and Juniper owners — read this before you order
The Mini HUD will not fit your car. It is built for Model 3 2019–2023 and Model Y 2021–2024, and it is the only display product on this page — there is no HUD or dashboard screen here for the 2024+ Model 3 or the 2025+ Model Y. The other two parts in this group both do fit those cars: the screen swivel mount covers all four generations, and the gear shift stalk is made specifically for Highland and Juniper.
Tyre Safety
One part, and the cheapest way onto this page. It is also the one people most often order in the wrong quantity, so read the line under the card before you add it to the cart.
Lowest price here
TPMS for Tesla — Bluetooth
Real-time tyre pressure and temperature on your phone, over Bluetooth BLE.
- $29 buys ONE sensor — not a set
- Four wheels needs the 4-sensor option at $99
- Bluetooth BLE 2.4 GHz, real-time pressure and temperature alerts
Fits Model 3 / Y / S / X produced 2021 or later
Listed for Model 3, Y, S and X produced in 2021 or later. The $29 option is a single in-wheel sensor, so it is the right pick for replacing one failed sensor. If you are fitting TPMS for the first time, choose 4 Internal sensor at $99 to cover all four wheels.
Ordering the TPMS? Check the quantity first
The $29 option is one single in-wheel sensor, not a set — it is the right pick if one sensor has already failed. If you are fitting TPMS for the first time, choose the 4 Internal sensor option at $99, which is what covers all four wheels.
Lighting & ambience
The cheapest way to change how the car looks and feels, and where the deepest discounts on the site sit. Ordered front of the car to back, and several of these are model-year specific — check the line under each one.
Most Frunk Lock orders also include both light strips

Frunk Lock — Soft-Close
$135 $159
Pairs with your Frunk Lock
The frunk strip lights the compartment the lock opens. The trunk strip does the same job at the other end of the car. Both run off their own dedicated plug, so neither one needs tools or adhesives.
Both strips, in one step $35 each
These two strips only overlap on Model Y and Model 3 Highland — pick one above.
Frunk LED Light Strip
Cold-white light that fills the blind spot in a frunk or trunk compartment.
- 5 m silicone strip, 12 V, 5 W
- White or yellow
- Dedicated plug — installs without adhesives or screws
Fits Model S / X ’18–’23 · Model 3 ’18–’23 & Highland · Model Y ’21–’25+
Nine model-year variants spanning Model S, X, 3 and Y.
Trunk LED Light Strip
Same idea as the frunk strip, sized and fitted for the rear compartment.
- White, warm white, red or blue
- 5 m silicone, 12 V
- Fits into place with a custom-moulded connector
Fits Model Y ’21–’26 · Model 3 Highland
Listed for Model Y 2021–2026 and Model 3 Highland.
Dashboard Ambient Light
A dashboard light strip with app control and music sync — the cheapest visual bang here.
- Up to 100 colours, app controlled
- Music sync reacts to sound and voice
- Four variants: dashboard, plus wireless charger and footwell lights
Fits Model 3 & Model Y ’21–’23
Fits Model 3 and Model Y 2021–2023 only. Four variants run from $35 to $49; the $35 base strip carries the deepest discount, and the larger bundles discount less.
Deepest discount
Angel Wing Welcome Lights
Puddle lights that cast a wing shape on the ground when you open the door.
- Model 3 2021–2023, Model Y 2021–2024
- Model 3 Highland 2024+ and Model Y Refreshed 2025+
- Highest discount in this category
Fits Model 3 ’21–’23 & Highland · Model Y ’21–’24 & Refreshed
Model Y only
Rear Light Bar — Zebra Style
A wider band of brake light across the rear, in an alternating zebra segment pattern.
- Brake and headlights-on run red, signals and hazards run amber
- Syncs to the car’s own signals — nothing to switch on
- Mates with the factory connector, no splicing
Fits Model Y ’20–’24 (not Juniper)
Model Y 2020–2024. The page states Model Y Juniper (2025+) is not supported.
Model Y only
Rear Light Bar — Heartbeat Style
The same rear bar, but the segments light in a travelling heartbeat pulse.
- Running pulse instead of one solid block
- High-output LEDs throw a wider band of red
- Fits the factory plug with nothing cut
Fits Model Y ’20–’24 (not Juniper)
Model Y 2020–2024 only. Juniper is not supported. Zebra and Heartbeat are two finishes of the same part — pick one.
Fitment table — all 14 parts, all five generations
This is the most useful thing on the page and the reason to bookmark it: every part against every model generation, taken from the model-year lists on the product pages. Read down a column, not across a row.

Three lines worth reading twice. Gear Shift Stalk is the narrowest fit here — Highland 2025+ and Juniper 2025+ only, and the product page states it is not for the 2024 Model 3. The two rear light bars are the same part in two finishes: Model Y 2020–2024 only, and the same $159, so pick the pattern you prefer rather than buying both. The TPMS $29 price is one single sensor; a four-wheel set is the $99 option.
Before you buy: install tiers and warranty
Two things stop people from ordering a part like this: they do not know how hard it is to fit, and they do not know what it does to their warranty. Both answers are short.
Install tiers, and what they are based on
- Plug-in Connects to a factory connector. Nothing is cut or spliced. The Mini HUD, the gear shift stalk, both light strips, the ambient light and the two rear light bars are here.
- DIY Trim comes off and the existing mounting points are reused. That is the screen swivel mount, the welcome lights and the TPMS. The swivel mount is described as a reversible install at the factory mounting points; the product page puts it at about 30 minutes.
- Pro install Replaces factory hardware or adds a control unit. That is the Frunk Lock, the Electric Power Frunk, the Soft-Close Door Kit and the Automatic Door Handles — four of the fourteen.
The tier reflects how the part goes on — whether it mates with a factory connector, whether the maker calls it reversible, and whether the car’s own wiring is involved. Where a part is reversible but still has to draw power from the car, we take the conservative reading and list it as a professional install. We have not added install times that the product pages do not state. Every card carries its own tier label; the full fitment table is further up this page.
Warranty, in plain terms
In the United States, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is the framework that applies to aftermarket parts. Its core principle is that a manufacturer cannot void your entire vehicle warranty simply because an aftermarket part was installed.
The qualifier matters. If a third-party part directly causes damage to a specific component, a claim can be declined for that particular damage. That is the whole test — causation, on the specific component, not a blanket void.
Several parts here are described by their makers as non-destructive: the frunk lock keeps the factory latch and emergency release, the Mini HUD reads through the factory 26-pin rear OBD port, the swivel mount replaces only the screen bracket, and the gear shift stalk uses a plug-and-play harness. If warranty risk is your deciding factor, ask your service centre before ordering.
This is general information about how the framework works, not legal advice, and not a warranty promise from Grundig.
Questions people ask before ordering
How do I know which of these fit my Tesla?
Use the model picker at the top of this page. Pick your car and model year and the page hides the parts that do not fit. Every card also carries its own fitment line, so you can check a single part without using the picker at all. The ranges on this page are taken from the model-year lists on each product page; select your exact variant at checkout to confirm.
I have a 2024 Model 3 (Highland). Do the HUDs fit?
No — and on this page there is nothing that fits instead. The Mini HUD is made for Model 3 2019–2023 and Model Y 2021–2024, and it is the only display product we now list. Model 3 Highland (2024+) and Model Y Juniper (2025+) are therefore not covered by any HUD or dashboard screen here. The one part in that group built for those two cars is the Gear Shift Stalk — and that is a shifter, not a display.
What is the difference between the Frunk Lock and the Electric Power Frunk?
They automate different amounts of the same job. The Frunk Lock is soft-close only: you lift the lid yourself and the motor pulls it in for the final few millimetres, so you never have to press the hood down. The Electric Power Frunk replaces the hood struts with powered ones, so one press opens the lid and another closes and latches it. If you want the hood to open on its own, that is the Power Frunk, not the Lock.
I already bought the Frunk Lock. What else do I need?
Nothing — it works on its own. The two light strips are the parts most often ordered alongside it, which is why they are shown together in the Lighting section under Pairs with your Frunk Lock. The frunk strip lights the compartment the lock opens; the trunk strip does the same job at the other end of the car. Both are $35, both connect with their own plug, and neither needs tools.
Does fitting these affect my Tesla warranty?
In the United States the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is the relevant framework, and its core principle is that a manufacturer cannot void your whole vehicle warranty simply because an aftermarket part was installed. The qualifier matters: if a third-party part directly causes damage to a specific component, coverage for that particular damage can be declined. Several parts here are described by their makers as non-destructive and reversible. If warranty risk is your deciding factor, talk to your service centre first.
Do I need a professional to install any of this?
Four parts here are listed as a professional install: the Frunk Lock, the Electric Power Frunk, the Soft-Close Door Kit and the Automatic Door Handles. Each one replaces factory hardware or adds a control unit. Everything else is split into Plug-in (mates with a factory connector) and DIY (trim comes off, existing mounting points are reused). The tier is shown on every card, and the basis for it is set out in the install section above.
Will the rear light bars fit a 2025 Model Y (Juniper)?
No. Both the Zebra-Style and Heartbeat-Style bars are listed for Model Y 2020–2024, and the product pages state explicitly that Model Y Juniper 2025+ is not supported. Zebra and Heartbeat are two finishes of the same part, so if you have a 2020–2024 Model Y, pick the pattern you prefer rather than buying both.
Does the Mini HUD need any wires cut?
No. The Mini HUD plugs into the factory 26-pin rear OBD port and is moulded to sit in the air-vent gap — no cutting, no splicing, nothing permanent. The screen swivel mount in the same group replaces only the factory screen bracket and is reversible. Everything else on this page either mates with a factory connector or reuses the existing mounting points.
I drive an older Model S or Model X. What fits?
Four things, and nothing else on this page. The Frunk Lock lists 2021+ Model S and Model X at $155 rather than $135. The Electric Power Frunk lists 2021+ Model S and Model X at $499. The frunk LED light strip covers Model S and X back to 2018. The TPMS is listed for S and X from 2021 onward. Beyond those four, nothing here lists Model S or Model X — the control group and the two rear light bars are Model 3 and Model Y only, so check the fitment table before ordering.
Is anything here battery-powered or does it all tap the car?
Everything connects to the car. The light strips, the ambient light and the Mini HUD all run off the vehicle — the HUD through the factory 26-pin rear OBD port, the strips through their own dedicated plugs. Nothing on this page is an accessory you charge separately. The TPMS differs only in how it talks: its in-wheel sensors broadcast over Bluetooth to your phone instead of wiring into the car.
What about shipping and returns?
Shipping is free within the United States. Both policies are published in full on the site — the shipping policy and the return and exchange policy — so check those pages for the current terms before you order. If a part does not fit your car, start with the return page rather than fitting it.
Looks like a short list?
It is meant to be. These fourteen are the ones we would recommend first. The full Tesla Gear collection carries everything else we stock, with filters and sorting.
