Which Model 3 years does the electric frunk fit?
There are three Model 3 versions: up to 2020, 2021–2023, and 2024+ Highland. They aren't interchangeable, so pick the one that matches your car.
How do I open the electric frunk?
From the touchscreen, the Tesla app, the frunk button or the original key fob.
Is it safe if something is in the way?
Yes. The struts stop when they meet resistance instead of forcing the hood closed.
Does the kit include a light?
Yes. An LED frunk light strip comes in the box, along with a manual pull cable for emergency release.
Does it soft-close the hood?
The electric frunk opens and closes the hood. For a hood that pulls itself into the latch, add the separate frunk soft-close lock.
