Why the Juniper needs a different stalk
Factory gear stalk
Earlier Model Y cars shift with the right-hand stalk from the factory. No add-on needed.
Turn signals stay, shifter moves
The Juniper keeps its left turn-signal stalk, but Drive and Reverse are selected on the touchscreen by default.
Right-side shifter returns
Adds a dedicated gear stalk on the right that plugs into the Juniper's factory connectors.
Not a Model 3 part: the Juniper and Highland versions are ordered separately. Driving a Model 3? See the Model 3 Highland gear shift stalk.

Model Y Juniper Gear Shift Stalk FAQ
Doesn't the Model Y Juniper already have a stalk?
The 2025 Model Y keeps a stalk on the left for turn signals, but gear selection moved to the touchscreen. This kit adds a dedicated gear shift stalk on the right side of the column.
Which Model Y years does it fit?
The Juniper version fits the 2025-and-newer Model Y. Earlier 2020–2024 Model Y cars already have a factory gear stalk and don't need it.
How do I shift with it?
Push up for Reverse, push down for Drive and press the end button for Park. The touchscreen selector keeps working alongside it.
Is installation permanent?
No. The harness plugs into factory connectors with no cutting, splicing or drilling. Unplug it and the column returns to stock. Allow about an hour; professional installation is recommended.
Does it work with Autopilot or FSD?
The stalk only selects gears. Driver-assistance features are still engaged and controlled the way Tesla designed them for your car.
