Android Auto for Tesla Model 3: FAQ
Does the Tesla Model 3 support Android Auto?
Not natively. Tesla doesn't offer Android Auto or Apple CarPlay in its software, so you need an adapter or an aftermarket display.
Which Android phones work?
Phones running Android 11 or later. The same adapter also runs wireless Apple CarPlay for iPhones on iOS 10 or later.
How does the adapter connect to my phone?
Over 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual-band Wi-Fi. It plugs into the car's USB port, and after the first pairing it reconnects automatically.
Does it work in Australia?
No. The adapter isn't compatible with Australian Tesla models.
