GRUNDIG: 80 Years of Automotive Engineering & Precision

Since 1945, Grundig has stood for German precision engineering. From the 1951 Autosuper 248 to today, we bring German-engineered safety and convenience to every drive — car, RV, and beyond.

About GRUNDIG RV CO, Propane & Natural Gas Detector

Your RV's furnace, stove, water heater, and generator all produce carbon monoxide. A single propane leak can fill your RV in minutes. Parked at a campground with natural gas? That's a third threat. CO is odorless and invisible — you won't know something's wrong until symptoms hit. By then, it's often too late.

The GRUNDIG SR-907 detects CO, propane, and natural gas before you feel a single symptom. One device. Three deadly gases. Zero excuses.

Ⅰ. Key Highlights

【Detects CO, Propane & Natural Gas】 — CO: 0–1,000 ppm, UL 2034 certified alarm thresholds. Propane & Natural Gas: 0–10,000 ppm, triggers within 3 minutes at dangerous levels.

【85dB Siren + Flashing Red LED + LCD Display】 — loud enough to cut through your rooftop A/C. See the alarm even if you can't hear it. Real-time CO level, temperature, and humidity at a glance.

【Electrochemical Sensor + One-Touch Self-Test】 — Press TEST for a full diagnostic in seconds. 5–7 year lifespan. Yellow light tells you when to replace. Mute button silences false alarms; auto-resumes in 6 minutes if danger persists.

【Plugs in Under 60 Seconds】 — no wiring, no batteries, no tools. Plug into any standard US AC outlet. Fits flush against the wall, won't block your second outlet. Anti-glare acrylic lens keeps the display readable from any angle. Compact at 4.1 × 2.4 × 2.4 in, just 3.5 oz.

【Ideal For】 — RV, Motorhome, Camper Van, Travel Trailer, 5th Wheel, Cabin, Home, Kitchen, Garage.

⚠️ Important: The SR-907 requires AC shore power or a generator. It does not run on your RV's 12V battery. For boondocking, pair it with any portable power station — it draws less than 1 watt.

Ⅴ. FAQ

Q1: What gases does the SR-907 detect?
It detects Carbon Monoxide (CO), Propane, and Natural Gas (Methane) — the three most critical gas hazards for RV owners.

Q2: Will it go off every time I cook?
No. The SR-907 uses an electrochemical sensor — not the cheaper semiconductor type — which means far fewer false alarms. Normal cooking fumes won't trigger it. It only alarms when gas concentrations reach genuinely dangerous levels.

Q3: Does it need batteries?
No. The SR-907 is powered directly from any standard AC outlet (90-240V, 50/60Hz). Note: the unit requires shore power or a generator to operate — it does not run on your RV's 12V battery system. For boondocking, pair it with any portable power station (Jackery, EcoFlow, Bluetti) — it draws less than 1 watt.

Q4: What is the CO measuring range?
0 to 1,000 ppm, with alarm thresholds aligned with UL 2034 standards.

Q5: What about propane and natural gas? What is the range?
0 to 10,000 ppm, with a response time of ≤3 minutes at concentrations ≥3,000 ppm.

Q6: Can I use it in the US?
Yes! The SR-907 comes with US-compatible pins and is FCC certified. It operates on standard US 120V/60Hz power.

Q7: How loud is the alarm?
Over 85 decibels at 1 meter (3.3 ft).

Q8: What does the yellow light mean?
A flashing yellow light indicates the sensor has reached the end of its service life (typically 5-7 years) or a device fault. Replace the unit when you see the yellow light.

Q9: How do I test the device?
Press the TEST button once. The unit runs a full self-diagnostic and confirms all sensors and alarms are working.

Q10: I've heard CO rises and propane sinks — can one detector really cover both?

CO is slightly lighter than air and tends to stay near breathing height. Propane is heavier than air and collects near the floor. That's physics — and it's exactly why we made the SR-907 a plug-in unit instead of a hardwired one.

Here's what most RVers do: plug it in near the bedroom at breathing height at night (when CO from the furnace is your biggest risk), and move it to a low kitchen outlet during the day (when propane from the stove is the concern). It takes two seconds.

The best setup? Buy two. One for the sleeping area, one low in the galley. At $69 each, it's still cheaper than a single hardwired RV detector that only detects one gas. Many of our customers do exactly this — and sleep better for it.

Q11: How long does the sensor last?
The electrochemical sensor typically lasts 5-7 years. The yellow indicator light will flash when replacement is needed.

Q12: Does it ship to the US? How long?
Yes! We ship to all 50 US states. Delivery typically takes 5-8 business days.
