V. Will It Fit? 30-Second Self-Check
Before you order, grab a tape measure and run through these three quick checks. It takes 30 seconds and saves you the hassle of a return.
| 1. Door Cutout |
Measure your current lock's opening. This lock fits a 68 × 92 mm (2.68″ × 3.62″) cutout, with a tolerance of ±1–2 mm. |
| 2. Door Thickness |
Your door must be 35–38 mm (1.38″–1.5″) thick. |
| 3. Door Hand |
Stand outside facing the door. Hinges on the left → Left-Hand (LH). Hinges on the right → Right-Hand (RH). Both are available — just pick the matching version. See the guide below. |
Not sure? Send us a photo of your door with a tape measure across the lock hole, and we'll confirm within hours.
VI. Left-Hand or Right-Hand — Which One Is Yours?
Stand outside, face your door, and look at the hinges:
-
Hinges on the LEFT → Left-Hand (LH) door → select the Left-Hand version.
-
Hinges on the RIGHT → Right-Hand (RH) door → select the Right-Hand version.
Tip: Look at where the hinges are — that tells you the door's hand directly. Still unsure? Send us a photo of your door with a tape measure across the lock hole, and we'll confirm within hours.
VII. Precautions & Installation Notes
- Confirm your door thickness (35–38 mm / 1.38″–1.5″) and cutout (68 × 92 mm) before ordering.
- This lock is available in both left- and right-hand versions. Confirm your door's handing (which side the hinges are on) before ordering.
- Powered by 4 × AA batteries (DC 6V, not included) — have them ready before first use.
- Battery life is around 3–4 months with normal use; we recommend replacing the batteries every 3 months for reliable operation.
- Store the backup keys somewhere safe — ideally outside the RV, never locked inside — in case the batteries die or the electronics are damaged.
- For the full 49 ft (15 m) remote range, keep the signal path clear of large metal obstructions.
VIII. FAQ
Will this lock fit my RV door?
It fits doors 35–38 mm (1.38″–1.5″) thick with a cutout of 68 × 92 mm. Measure your door before ordering.
How many ways can I unlock it?
Three: remote key fob, keypad passcode, and mechanical backup key.
What batteries does it use?
It runs on 4 × AA batteries (DC 6V, not included). Battery life is roughly 3–4 months with normal use, and we recommend replacing them every 3 months.
Is it waterproof?
It's weather-resistant with an IPX5-rated sealed exterior — fine for everyday rain and dusty campsite conditions.
Is it hard to install?
No. It's a direct-replacement RV door lock. Just confirm your door thickness, cutout, and handing (left or right) before starting.
What if the battery dies?
The mechanical backup key always works, even with dead batteries, so you can still get in. Keep it with you as a fallback on trips.
