Ⅲ. Door Hand — Left or Right?
This lock comes in two versions: Right-Hand (RH) and Left-Hand (LH). Getting this wrong means the handle points the wrong way. Here's how to tell in 5 seconds:
Stand outside your RV, facing the door (looking at the outside face of the door).

1. Will this fit my RV? How hard is installation?
Fits standard RV door cutout (3.75" × 2.75") and door thickness 1.25"–1.5" (32–38 mm). Works with ~90% of RV doors — RVs, campers, motorhomes, 5th wheels, cargo trailers. Installs in 20–30 minutes with included hardware. No special tools or wiring required.
2. How long do the batteries last?
4 × AA batteries typically last 6–12 months with normal use. When they run low, the lock sounds a voice alert to remind you. You can also use a 9V battery to temporarily power the keypad from outside in an emergency (contact points are on the keypad).
3. What happens if the batteries die completely?
The mechanical backup key always works. Plus, you can use a 9V battery on the external contact points to temporarily power the keypad and get in.
4. Can I share access codes with guests?
Yes. Program up to 5 admin codes and 45 user codes — perfect for family, campground hosts, or service techs. Temporary codes expire automatically, so you don't need to remember to delete them.
5. What's the difference between JD01, JD02, and JD03?
